Licence Fee Seminar

5 May 2006

We are holding a public seminar, which will be chaired by Lord Burns, on the key issues that underlie the future level of the licence fee on Friday 5 May 2006. The seminar will take place in front of a small invited audience, which will include industry experts and representatives, as well as members of the public.

Debate will focus around 4 topics:

• BBC’s current settlement
• Industry-wide issues: cost pressures and efficiency
• Technological developments
• BBC’s future funding requirements

Further details will follow shortly.

We would welcome your views on these topics and your submissions would form part of the papers for the seminar. All submissions will be published on our website.* If you want to attend the seminar please contact us at the address below. Please note that numbers are limited and tickets will be issued on a first come first serve basis.

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 25 April 2006.
